Hatfield supporting the Millennium Challenge Account Indonesia Compact 2
Oct 24, 2024
Hatfield is thrilled to announce our role as partner with CDM Smith as the Program Management Consultant for the Millennium Challenge Account Indonesia’s Compact 2 (2024-2029), funded primarily by the Millenium Challenge Corporation.
This US$649M Compact supports three initiatives aimed at improving financing and capital access for infrastructure development and small enterprises: the Advancing Transport and Logistics Accessibility Services (ATLAS) Project, the Financial Markets Development Project (FMDP), and the Access to Finance for Women-owned/Micro-, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME Finance Project). The Millennium Challenge Account-Indonesia II (MCA-I II) institution has been established to operate the Compact 2 project in Indonesia. In cooperation with Bappenas (National Planning Development Board), MCA-I II implements the Compact 2 project in five targeted provinces (Riau, Riau Islands, South Sumatra, Bali, and North Sulawesi). Additional provinces may be added during project implementation.
Over the next five years, the Program Management Consultant will provide support to achieve efficient and integrated delivery to the MCA-I II for the Compact 2 projects and provide technical support to ensure comprehensive review and technical backstopping for diverse outputs produced by activity-level implementation partners. Hatfield is providing key specialists for the roles of compliance monitoring, environmental and social safeguards, and gender and social inclusion.
Hatfield’s Senior Vice-President, Martin Davies and PT Hatfield Indonesia’s Senior Director, Bambang Tri Sasongko Adi, and President Director, Jim Webb, attended inception meetings in Jakarta alongside CDM Smith and partners. We look forward to the progression of this project, as we support the initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure financing and assuring that MSMEs can access capital.
