Hatfield providing post-flooding services to the Fort McMurray region
May 29, 2020
On April 26, 2020, ice break-up on the Athabasca and Clearwater rivers in northern Alberta led to major flooding to the Fort McMurray region. In response, the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo contracted Hatfield to provide post-flooding services to the impacted areas. Hatfield will prepare an ECO Plan and site inspections throughout the cleanup process. The objective is to facilitate debris removal and waste management practices in the Taiga Nova, Clearwater Drive, and Waterways areas of Fort McMurray.
