Hatfield welcomes new staff in North Vancouver, New Westminster, Calgary, and Fort McMurray offices!

Summer is heating up and so are we as we welcome new staff to our office locations across Canada! As one of BC’s Top Employers 2022, and one of Canada’s Top Small and Medium Employers (SME) for 2022, we are thrilled to announce these new additions to our growing team as we continue to diversify our talent.
Joining our team in North Vancouver:
Amy Sefton, B.Sc. (Environmental Hazards), M.Sc. (Environmental Assessment and Management), joins our IEM group as an Environmental Specialist. She has worked in municipal government, environmental consulting, and non-profit sectors. Her expertise includes but is not limited to environmental management, habitat restoration, environmental assessment, construction monitoring, project coordination, remediation, sustainable strategies, community engagement, report writing, and the application of federal, provincial and municipal legislation and regulations.
Brianne Kucharski, B.Sc. (Environmental Sciences) joins our EMA group as an Environmental Specialist. She has worked in the provincial government, agricultural pest control, provincial conservation authority, and fisheries conservation sectors. Her expertise includes, but is not limited to, aquatic monitoring surveys, planning and conducting field activities, analyzing sediment, water and zooplankton samples, wildlife management, and fish community surveys.
Cora Sinclair, B.Sc. (Environmental Science) joins our EMA group as an Environmental Technician. She has worked in engineering, non-profit, environmental sustainability, federal government, and municipal government sectors. Her expertise includes but is not limited to baseline surveys, community outreach, collection of chemical, physical and biological data, water sampling, sampling and identifying aquatic macroinvertebrates, and watercourse related assessments.
Rebecca Murphy, B.Sc. (Ecology & Environmental Biology), M.Sc. (Applied Marine and Fisheries Ecology) joins our IEM group as an Environmental Technician. She has worked in the environmental consulting sector as well as the environmental education sector. Her expertise includes, but is not limited to, marine mammal observer mitigation training, bat ecology and bat surveys, breeding bird surveys, seal identification, seal rescues techniques, intertidal flora and fauna identification skills, experimental design and analysis, fisheries science, marine spatial planning, sustainable aquaculture, population ecology, conservation and management.
Stephanie Chang, B.Sc. (Engineering), MBA, joins our Administration team as a Corporate Administrative Assistant. She has worked in the energy, electronics, and public accounting sectors. Her expertise includes but is not limited to administrative management, executive support, project coordination, corporate compliance, updating HR systems and processes, booking and arranging logistics.
Joining our team in New Westminster:
Alexandra Arbelaez, B.Sc. (Natural Resources Conservation, Science and Management) joins our IEM group as an Environmental Technician. She has worked in the environmental consulting sector. Her expertise includes but is not limited to spatial and statistical analysis using ArcGIS & R, environmental report drafting, research and field data collection, conducting site assessments (soil, water, vegetation, wildlife), and site-specific health and safety plans.
Brandon Davies, B.Sc. (Environmental Science), joins our IEM group as an Environmental Technician. He has worked in municipal government, construction, landscaping, as well as environmental consulting sectors. His expertise includes but is not limited to stream assessment, project monitoring for erosion and sediment control, water sampling, invasive species removal, environmental field work, riparian assessments, statistical analysis, and toxicological and microbiological assessments of water and soil matrices.
Joining our team in Fort McMurray:
Brenten Vercruysse, B.Sc. (Environmental Sciences), M.Sc. (Biology), joins our EMA group as an Environmental Technician. His experience is in the education and oil sands mining sector. His expertise includes, but is not limited to, aquatic ecology, collecting and analyzing samples of lower trophic levels, water sample collection, filtration and preservation, multivariate statistical analysis experience with R, and collecting various water chemistry data.
Joining our team in Calgary:
Melanie Barron holds a Human Resources certificate as well as a Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) designation and joins our Administration Group as a Talent Acquisition Manager. She has worked in executive recruitment, energy, and financial sectors. Her expertise includes but is not limited to talent acquisition, relationship building and networking, strategy, metrics and reporting, professional practice, workforce planning and talent management, executive search, passive talent mapping and sourcing, and onboarding providing compensation recommendations and offer negotiation.
