John Hart Generating Station Replacement Project reaches total completion

The John Hart Generating Station, located near the City of Campbell River, has been operating since 1947. Due to the age of the facility, replacement of a number of facility components including the woodstave penstocks and the powerhouse generating equipment was required to ensure continued delivery of clean, reliable energy for years to come. Following 6 years of construction, the project reached “Total Completion” on May 22nd, 2020. As overall Environmental Managers for the design-build phase of the Project, Hatfield provided the Environmental Director, and on-site Environmental Manager and Environmental Coordinator, as well as a range of environmental subject area specialists. Hatfield will continue involvement in the project for the next 15 years as part of the InPower Services operations team.
