Hatfield expands EIA experience in Alberta
Nov 02, 2011
Hatfield Consultants (Hatfield) continues to participate in environmental assessments for major oilsands, coal mining, as well as quarry and sand and gravel operations throughout Alberta. Between August and November 2011, Hatfield was awarded environmental assessment work for nine oilsands projects in the Athabasca oilsands region of Alberta. Working with Hatfield’s Fort McMurray and Calgary offices, the projects have focused on preparation of aquatic resources baselines (fisheries, water quality, and hydrology), environmental impact assessments, and watercourse crossings in compliance with Alberta’s Water Act and associated Codes of Practice.
Hatfield now has a portfolio of 23 environmental assessment projects in various stages of development throughout the province of Alberta.
Hatfield established an office in Fort McMurray in 2003 and in Calgary in 2010 in order to serve our growing client base in Alberta. Hatfield’s Alberta offices are supported by personnel from our head office in Vancouver, B.C.
