GEO Analytics Canada Platform launched by Hatfield

Hatfield is pleased to announce the launch of GEO Analytics Canada, a cloud native, open platform for big data geoscience.

This initiative, partly funded under an Innovation Solutions Canada challenge, delivers a unique platform for satellite earth observation data analytics.

Our mission is to enable Canadian industry, academia, and government to embrace the new era of satellite Earth observation analytics using cloud and high-performance computing (HPC) environments. GEO Analytics Canada platform can be customized and deployed in an organizations own cloud or HPC infrastructure. It allows users to analyze satellite earth observation data in ways not possible using traditional desktop tools.

“The massive amount of satellite data now available makes traditional desktop analytics obsolete”, says project director Jason Suwala. “GEO Analytics Canada is a cloud-native analytics system that brings the user and their tools to the data, completely removing the need to download massive datasets.”

As many Canadian organizations are looking to overcome this big data challenge, Hatfield can help organizations build and host their own platform. Hatfield can also embed big data geoscience experts to support project development.
