Originally from Montreal, Olivier journeyed west to pursue a career in the geospatial industry, first obtaining advanced certification in GIS and then his MSc in remote sensing at UBC Forestry. Olivier has been in the geospatial industry for over 20 years, both in consulting and in applied research environments, specializing in the use of remote sensing and GIS technologies for a range of environmental and natural resource applications. Olivier has worked extensively with the private sector and with numerous provincial and federal government departments and agencies, with some of his most notable work being with the Canadian Space Agency and the European Space Agency.
As a Partner and Director of Remote Sensing and Geomatics, Olivier combines his skills and experiences to provide top-tier support to both internal and external clients. His goal is to continue to grow the business unit, and leverage the skills, interests, and experiences of the team to contribute to the success of our clients, of Hatfield, and the sustainability of our environment. Olivier is motivated and inspired by the diversity of clients, projects, and Hatfield’s ongoing innovative spirit.
Growing up in a family of restaurateurs, Olivier has always had a passion for good food and is constantly on the search for the next hidden gem. When not working, you’ll likely find him trying new dishes, or enjoying the outdoors with family and friends (and his dog).
