Lyle has over 20 years of corporate, regulatory, and consulting experience in the environmental industry. He is an optimist, and is inspired by what can be achieved when people collaborate towards a common goal.

Lyle began his environmental career with a luxury hotel brand, leading their corporate social responsibility program long before “sustainability” was a common part of business vocabulary.  Valuable lessons learned regarding service excellence led him to Vancouver to pursue a career in environmental consulting with various international engineering firms. A two-year secondment with the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada solidified his love for managing impact assessments of major projects, and collaborating with proponents, governments, Indigenous groups, and the public to advance sustainable development.

Lyle’s passion for the environment extends into his personal life where he enjoys running the trails in North Vancouver, collecting driftwood for art projects, spending time with his family, and dreaming about travel and his next adventure.
