A true maritime girl at heart, Karen was born and raised in Nova Scotia and started her work on the east coast of Canada. Moving to the west coast in 2002, Karen has spent more than 18 years helping clients successfully navigate evolving federal and provincial environmental assessment and permitting legislation and local government requirements. As a part of successful project delivery, she has extensive experience working in collaboration with Indigenous nations, both in project support and development, as well as engagement on project reviews. Her former role as lead and regulatory specialist on a large multi-disciplinary project development team provides her added insight into the challenges our clients face while navigating BC’s regulatory environment.
Karen quickly fell in love with BC’s mountains and the wind, and eventually moved to Squamish in 2009 to be in the midst of outdoor adventure. Karen is usually found out on the water enjoying kitesurfing adventures around BC and the world, and trying to learn new tricks from her husband.
