The City of White Rock reconstructed the White Rock Pier and underwent shoreline protection works. Hatfield provided the City of White Rock with permitting and environmental services associated with the reconstruction of White Rock Pier and shoreline protection works. Services provided included securing all permits and land tenures for the reconstruction and shoreline protection works. Hatfield also supported the City of White Rock to undertake feasibility studies related to six potential projects along the waterfront in White Rock. This included permitting under the Fisheries Act, Canadian Navigable Waters Act and the British Columbia Wildlife Act. Hatfield supported the reconstruction of the pier including providing a Marine Habitat Assessment and an Environmental Monitor during the construction. The City of White Rock stated that they were very pleased with Hatfield’s work and Hatfield continued to provide environmental and regulatory support for further reconstruction of the remainder of the pier, and for other proposed shoreline protection and habitat enhancement works.
