Hatfield recognizes National Indigenous History Month and National Indigenous Peoples Day
Jun 20, 2025
On June 21, Hatfield joins communities and organizations across Canada in recognizing National Indigenous Peoples Day, a time to honour the rich cultures, traditions, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis. June is also recognized as National Indigenous History Month, a powerful reminder of our enduring respect for the history, heritage, and unwavering resilience of Indigenous Peoples across Canada. This time is not just a moment of recognition; it represents a year-round commitment to uplifting Indigenous voices, preserving histories, and honouring the invaluable contributions of Indigenous Peoples in meaningful and lasting ways.
At Hatfield, we respectfully acknowledge that our head office is situated on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We are grateful to live and work on these lands, recognizing the rooted connection these Nations have to this territory, and remain committed to building respectful partnerships that support shared prosperity and environmental stewardship.
