Hatfield welcomes Ann Clancy, Karen McMillan, Lyle Thompson and Tim Poulton to the partnership

Hatfield is pleased to welcome Ann Clancy, Karen McMillan, Lyle Thompson and Tim Poulton to the partnership as Associate Partners, effective November 1, 2021.
Ann Clancy, MA, BSc, EP, has over 15 years of environmental consulting and onsite multi-disciplinary project experience, and has been an integral member of our Infrastructure and Environmental Management Group since starting with Hatfield in 2014. Ann’s experience includes advising on and navigating complex regulatory and permitting processes, preparing multi-jurisdictional applications for permits, tracking federal and provincial environmental assessment approval and permitting conditions, construction environmental monitoring and compliance, stakeholder consultation, and preparing and implementing environmental management plans. She has played a key role on several Environmental Impact Assessments for infrastructure developments throughout British Columbia, the UK, and her home country of Ireland.
Karen McMillan, BSc, BA, MES, is an environmental and regulatory specialist with over 18 years of experience leading environmental assessments, navigating permitting processes and developing environmental management and compliance monitoring programs for a wide range of projects in British Columbia. Joining Hatfield in 2019. Karen has been a leader within our Infrastructure and Environmental Management Group where she is responsible for developing and managing regulatory and permitting strategies for successful delivery of design and construction projects, as well as managing multi-disciplinary projects consistent with evolving federal and provincial environmental assessment legislation and local government requirements.
Lyle Thompson, BA (Honours), joined Hatfield in 2019 as a member of our Infrastructure and Environmental Management Group. He has 20 years of corporate, regulatory and consulting experience, specializing in managing major projects subject to federal and/or provincial environmental assessments, permitting and approvals. He is responsible for environmental and regulator management, including collaborating with clients and teams of technical experts to advance project designs, supporting public and Indigenous consultations and navigating complex regulatory processes. Lyle is also an Environmental Auditor, with experience conducting environmental management system and regulatory compliance audits in various industrial sectors across Canada and the US.
Tim Poulton, BA, DipIT, RPBio, PBiol, has over 15 years of environmental experience in western Canada and has been an integral part of our Environmental Monitoring and Assessment Group since 2011. He has been a project manager on a variety of projects including the coordination and supervision of multi-disciplinary specialists, participation in Indigenous and Public consultation workshops, management of all environmental aspects of infrastructure design and delivery, preparation of project environmental management plans, permit acquisition, and agency liaison. Tim’s areas of expertise include project management, environmental impact assessments with regards to aquatic resources, fish habitat offsetting design and monitoring, species at risk assessments, and environmental permitting.
