Hatfield awarded the oil sands Regional Aquatics Monitoring Program (2007 to 2009)
Apr 18, 2005
Hatfield is happy to announce that we have been awarded a 3-year contract to continue managing and implementing the Regional Aquatics Monitoring Program (RAMP) in the oil sands region of Fort McMurray, Alberta. The program focuses on aquatic environments in the vicinity of oil sands development and monitors climate and hydrology, fish populations, water and sediment quality, benthic invertebrate communities and lakes sensitive to acidifying industrial emissions. Hatfield has managed the program since 2003 and successfully won a multi-company competition that will ensure our involvement to 2009.
We are excited to be given the opportunity to continue this work for an additional three years, and we look forward to refining and strengthening the program both from a scientific and stakeholder perspective.
