Call for proposals – trial Earth observation services for Indonesia and Viet Nam
Sep 10, 2010
The European Space Agency (ESA) has been promoting international cooperation to increase the use of space technology for many years through their Earth Observation and Market Development Program (EOMD). The European Space Agency’s (ESA) Value Adding Element (VAE) is aimed at identifying opportunities to expand the European value adding sector to non-European markets.
CCORE (www.c-core.ca) and Hatfield Consultants (www.hatfieldgroup.com), in partnership with P.T. Hatfield Indonesia, have been contracted by ESA to assess opportunities in South East Asia for expanding mature Earth Observation (EO) based services. Indonesia and Viet Nam were selected as representative examples to conduct trial services. The results of this project will provide input into ESA’s long term strategic action plan for South East Asia.
The project team is currently accepting proposals from ESA VAE member states in Europe and Canada to implement three to four trial services in Indonesia and Viet Nam. A total maximum budget of 75,000 Euros has been allocated to fund all of the trial services. Detailed information on the proposed trial services, proposal requirements and information on how to submit a proposal can be found on-line: http://www.c-core.ca/ESA_ITT/.
The deadline for submissions is 1800 hrs – Central European Time on September 30, 2010.
