Tim began his career as a consulting hydrogeologist, completing field studies and numerical modelling to support site characterization, impact assessments, and permit applications. He subsequently joined the BC Ministry of Environment to get a better understanding of why regulators ask what they ask for. As a regulator, he advanced from a senior technical officer to regional hydrogeologist, and later water management section head and statutory decision maker, and has been involved with the review of hundreds of permit applications and environmental impact assessments. Tim has been with Hatfield for over five years and has led the growth of our Water Resource Group to a team of approximately 40 hydrologists, hydrogeologists, and water resource engineers.
Outside of work, Tim is an avid climber and mountaineer and is currently waiting for his daughter to be old enough to belay him. He currently spends every spare moment in the outdoors with his kids, hiking, camping and trying to keep his mountain bike right-side up.
