Garth began his career in fisheries research prior to joining Hatfield in 1997. For more than 25 years, he has applied a passion for biology and commitment to sustainable development to Hatfield projects in Canada and internationally. Garth’s consulting career has evolved from an early focus on fisheries and aquatic sciences to a specialization in the environmental management of large, complex, multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
Garth began his corporate management involvement in Indonesia during the early 2000s when he served as President Director of PT Hatfield Indonesia. He subsequently returned to Canada where he has contributed to the ongoing development, management, and evolution of Hatfield. Garth has been President of Hatfield since 2018 and is grateful for the diverse opportunities provided by a career in consulting. By example, he hopes to inspire others to follow a similarly rewarding path.
Garth’s passion for the outdoors has led to a lifelong love of adventure travel, hiking, and backpacking. When not spending time with family, he can usually be found making a mess in his woodworking shop.
