Hatfield’s Terrace office celebrates our 50th anniversary!
Aug 28, 2024
Hatfield’s Northwest BC team celebrated our 50th anniversary in a unique way with a boat trip to local hot springs and a fresh crab dinner!
Hatfield President Garth Taylor joined our Terrace staff to embark on a full-day ocean boat tour along the Douglas Channel with our hosts Jason and Todd of Kermodei Adventures. The Hatfield team made their way down the Channel enjoying a soak at Weewanie Hot Springs and then continued south to the Shearwater Hot Springs Conservancy. These hot springs are in the asserted traditional territory of the Haisla Nation. This tour allowed our staff to appreciate the unparalleled beauty of British Columbia’s rugged coast!
During this adventure, crabs were collected for a bountiful West Coast dinner on the ocean, which was complete with the breaching of countless humpback whales. This celebration was brimming with fun and laughter, creating unforgettable memories for everyone.
We would like to extend our appreciation to our vendors who made this celebration possible. We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to a local Terrace artist, Roderick Brown (Cohowood), for his exceptional creation of a Kermode bear wood carving, which beautifully incorporates our Hatfield logo. This unique piece was generously gifted to Hatfield’s President, Garth Taylor, by our tour guides to commemorate our 50th anniversary.
