Biodiversity Survey for the Mining Industry
Hatfield designed and implemented a terrestrial ecology survey for PT Newmont Horas Nauli (Newmont's) gold mine operation in North Sumatra, Indonesia. Surveys were implemented to obtain baseline environmental information prior to commencing mining activities, and to address potential issues related to endangered wildlife, including orangutan, tiger, and serow. more>>
Conservation Mapping of World Hertigate Sites
In Central Africa, Earth Observation (EO) data and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) were used to support mapping and monitoring of two World Heritage sites in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
