Monitoring Aquatic Environments in the Athabasca Oil Sands Region of Alberta
The Alberta oil sands of northern Canada are significant component of the world’s petroleum resources – about one-third the size of the entire world’s known reserves of conventional crude oil. Expert review of Georgia Strait Pipeline
Hatfield reviewed and evaluated the marine component of the environmental impact assessment (EIA) documentation submitted to the National Energy Board in support of the Georgia Straight Crossing Project, a proposed submarine natural gas pipeline crossing from Washington State to Vancouver Island. more>>
Environmental Risk Assessment and Survey for TOTAL E & P
Hatfield is conducting an environmental risk assessment (ERA) and environmental monitoring survey for TOTAL E&P Indonesia (TOTAL) in the Mahakam Delta, East Kalimantan, Indonesia. The ERA assesses produced water constituents being discharged to the Mahakam River and potential impacts on the aquatic environment and human health. The environmental monitoring survey comprises a scientific assessment of benthic communities to determine the potential environmental impact of historical and current oil exploration and production within the Mahakam Delta and offshore areas. more>>
