Hatfield Agent Orange Publication
CHEMOSPHERE has published a manuscript on our Agent Orange/dioxin work in the Aluoi Valley (formerly named A Shau Valley), Viet Nam.
The paper is entitled "Dioxin Reservoirs in Southern Viet Nam - A Legacy of Agent Orange". The manuscript summarizes Hatfield investigations in the valley from 1994 through 2000, presenting TCDD data in soils from former United States military installations and in soils from regions aerially sprayed by C-123 aircraft. In addition, data are presented on levels of TCDD in food, whole human blood, and breast milk samples collected throughout the valley. We theorize on the relative distribution of TCDD throughout southern Viet Nam, based on patterns we observed in the Aluoi Valley.
